Does your ad contain a “Call to Action”?
Creating buzz and awareness about your company and products is increasingly expensive. When you’re running ads in the various trade publications, you want to make sure you let your reader know:
1) Who you are
2) What you are offering
3) Why your offer is better than the competition
4) How to reach you
Reaching you is critical because you want to give the reader multiple ways to get more information. Depending on the reader and his/her preference, your call to action can be one, two or all of the following:
1) Phoning for more information
2) Visit the website
3) Fax a request or order over
4) Email a specific person
5) Clip out a coupon and mail for more information or free samples
6) Offer a no obligation visit to their office
7) Invite them to stop by and see you
No matter which one(s) you select – make sure you have a "call to action" in your next ad or solicitation.
